What’s more alarming is their are more people in jail than there are living on college campuses. Not only is the prison population growing at an alarming rate but the number of children abandoned due to parental incarceration is growing at an alarming rate as well. For those of you that have a concsious there is a natural desire and love to take care of those that can’t take care of themselves. Kids of any nature are not supposed to be left to fend for themselves, raise themselves, or provide for themselves. When they do they don’t always make the best lifestyle choices, and the consequeces are stagering. Society comes unglued when they hear of kids ending up with loaded guns in their possession, being sold in to sex slavery, or being abused mentally, physically, and emotionally. They are kids and society doesn’t expect them to be neglected. We expect that parents will mentor, cherish, provide and teach boys and girls what it takes to become women and men…..Have you considered what happens to the kids of the almost 3 million people that go to prison or jail everyday. These kids live without an identity they can embrace. I encourage you to help get the word out about this faceless generation.
