An Everyday Difference
Children with incarcerated parents face tough challenges. Without intervention, they have a 70 percent chance of ending up behind bars. EKWIP is working to change this one child at a time.
As a mentor, you can be a positive role model in the life of one of these children. Mentors inspire children to pursue education and develop their interests in music, art, or sports. Most importantly, mentors provide compassion and companionship to children who are often in high-risk situations. Mentoring is a critical strategy for improving the lives of young people, boosting their academic achievement, social development, and chances for long-term success.
By spending a few hours a month with a child, you can change a life forever.
